![]() ![]() I started using it after Scott Hansen of "Tycho" mentioned that he was using it, and to be honest it's my favorite of all the DAWs I've tried so far.ĢND EDIT: Ok, so a few people have brought up some really good points. Here's an example: the first song I recorded in REAPER with some free software synths, didn't cost a single penny (it's not mastered, just a live cut of me experimenting in Reaper): ĮDIT: Actually, now that I think of it- all of the songs posted on my soundcloud were recorded in REAPER. If you are buying a MIDI controller, sometimes they come bundled with some software synths and Ableton Lite for free, although it's a REALLY basic/limited version. ![]() IDK if it's still this way, but when I started less than a year ago they allowed you to download the software and use it with unlimited features for free with no time limit, however it does remind you every time you start that you can buy a license if you really want to support the software. Personally, I would recommend REAPER if you want to get your feet wet but not spend a huge sum of money.
